“My grandchildren and I had a wonderful time here! Our guide did an excellent job of explaining all the animals to him and allowing him to take it in at his own pace. I highly recommend a trip to Greenlands Farm!”  – farm supporter
____________

All proceeds benefit Helpers Of Our Farm, an NC nonprofit organization, who’s mission is to teach about animal kindness, animal science, an ownership responsibility to create a better world for animals and humans. All the teaching animals of HOOF are rescued, re-homed, or adopted farm animals and are provided sanctuary by the support of donors, volunteers, and fundraisers. HOOF teaches through group farm tours, in schools, and at local businesses and community events. Our tips for making your visit the most enjoyable:

  • Read ALL our rules for the farm. Our farm is interested in the safety of you and our animals, we want you to leave with a positive experience. We have been operating tours since 2012, we have these rules in place for a reason.

  • Arrive at least 10-15 minutes early. Your tour will start and leave on time.

  • Come dressed for the weather, in clothes that you won’t mind finding mud or manure on at the end of the day. Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes to protect your feet and make it easier to walk on any uneven ground.

  • Stay with your group. Wandering guests are not appreciated and often get hurt.

  • Remember this is a working farm with a family that lives on the farm, be respectful of their property as you would want others to be of yours. You are invited as a guest to their home.

  • If you have a kid who doesn’t like to walk, bring a stroller. We suggest you sanitize the wheels after your tour, bring wipes or spray with you.

  • Ask LOTS of questions when prompted! Your tour guide is well-knowledged, take advantage of them 🙂
